Agrothrive Fruit & Flower is our go-to liquid fertilizer for fruiting plants in the backyard garden. We use it in our fig orchard, our raised bed garden, and our in-ground garden plots. This organic formula not only feeds our plants and soil biology, but it also helps to stimulate flower and fruit production. This results in strong root systems, healthy plants, and bountiful harvests.

AgroThrive fertilizer includes a "pre-digested" formula derived from corn steep liquor and fish by-products. This biologically-active formula is readily available to plants after each application and will begin to stimulate growth in just a few days. Simply mix 2-4 ounces of AgroThrive Fruit & Flower per gallon of water and pour around the base of your garden plants. See below for more detailed application instructions.

When to Use AgroThrive Fruit & Flower Fertilizer

Root Vegetables

The higher phosphorous percentage in the AgroThrive Fruit & Flower formulation makes it a great option for root vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, rutabagas, and more! If it's a veggie that grows under the ground, feed it this formulation and you'll be rewarded. It also works great to create a healthy root system on newly-transplanted onions.

Fruiting Plants

We use AgroThrive Fruit & Flower to maximize harvests on fruiting plants including cucumbers, peppers, squash, tomatoes, watermelon, and more. "Spoon feeding" these fruiting plants every 2-3 weeks will encourage more flower production, resulting in more delicious fruits and veggies for you to enjoy!

For smaller plantings, we'll mix 2-4 ounces of AgroThrive per gallon of water in a 5 gallon bucket. We'll then use a pitcher to apply it to the soil around our plants. For larger plantings, we'll inject AgroThrive Fruit & Flower through an overhead sprinkler or our drip irrigation system.

Pre-Digested for Faster Action!

Unlike traditional organic fertilizers that require breakdown by soil microbes before being available to plants, AgroThrive fertilizers are pre-digested and ready to feed your plants!

Made with corn steep liquor and fish by-products, AgroThrive fertilizers are 70% fast release and 30% slow release. This means that your plants will receive an immediate boost after fertilizing.

Plants will also benefit from the slow release nutrients that will continually feed them as they grow. Your soil biology will thrive as well, creating a dynamic soil ecosystem that makes plants more resilient to pests and diseases.

How to Use AgroThrive Fertilizers

Growing Transplants

AgroThrive works great when growing your own vegetable transplants for the backyard garden. We use it on everything in our greenhouse and our transplants have strong, healthy root systems as a result.

Mix 1 ounce of AgroThrive per gallon of water in a watering can or pump sprayer and gently apply to plants 3-4 times a week as the seedlings are growing. If applying directly overhead, splash the leaves with a little water after each application. This will prevent any of the fertilizer residue from burning the leaves if it's too hot inside your greenhouse or seed starting room.

Pre-Plant Soil Drench

AgroThrive can be used as a pre-plant fertilizer to "charge" the soil and provide some initial nutrients for germinated seedlings or transplants.

Simply mix 2 ounces of AgroThrive per gallon of water and apply to the area that will be planted. This can be done via a watering can, a bucket, or a hose end sprayer.

Feeding Plants As They Grow

AgroThrive works great for "spoon-feeding" plants in your backyard garden. This simply means to give your plants small concentrations of nutrients at frequent intervals. It works well with a variety of vegetables, but works especially well for fruiting plants like tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and watermelons.

Mix 4 ounces of AgroThrive per gallon of water in a watering can or 5 gallon bucket and gently pour onto the soil around your plants. Do this every 2-3 weeks as plants grow for best results.

You can also use a hose end sprayer, siphon mixer, or injector to apply AgroThrive through an overhead sprinkler, watering wand, or drip irrigation system. A good general rule of thumb is to use 8 to 12 ounces of AgroThrive per 1,000 sq. ft. plot when using these techniques.

*If injecting AgroThrive through a drip irrigation system, be sure to clean your irrigation filter before and after injecting. This will prevent the filter from clogging and reducing water flow through your irrigation system.
