Fig Tree Shipping Info
Our primary goal is to send you a healthy fig tree. Over the years, we have tailored our shipping schedule so that our fig trees experience as little stress as possible traveling from our place to yours.
We usually start shipping fig trees in early April and will ship trees until mid to late fall. We will not ship a fig tree if we believe it will experience freezing temperatures during transit.
We typically ship fig trees on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. During the warmer months of the year, we may delay shipment 1-2 weeks to prevent shipping during extremely hot temperatures.
All our trees are individually shipped via UPS Ground. If you order five trees, you will receive five individual shipments. If you are unable to receive UPS packages at your address, let us know immediately after you place your order and we can arrange a different courier.
Fig Tree Shipping Zones
We have established five different shipping "zones" that we use to prioritize shipments of fig tree pre-orders in early April. These zones are not based on your actual growing zone, but rather the route that a fig tree might have to take to get to your home.
Although it may be just as warm in south Texas as it is in Florida, we don't know the route that tree may take from our place in Georgia to Texas. As a result, we have to take precautions to prevent trees from freezing in transit.
Once we're confident we can ship to your state without the tree encountering freezing temps along the way, we will start shipping to that zone. If you placed a pre-order for a fig tree, please be patient with us as we fulfill these zones in order.
If your fig tree order is placed during the warm season, it will be typically be fulfilled within a week of us receiving the order.
