This is our favorite garden tool for weeding in tight spaces, especially around small or delicate plants. It works great for weeding around carrots, beets, parsnips, onions, and other root crops. The curved shank allows you to easily work around plants without damaging the stems or the roots.
The sharpened point can be used to uproot larger weeds, but we most frequently use it to lightly scuff the soil. This removes any small weeds and provides preventative weed control by lightly cultivating the soil around plants. It is especially useful for weeding around double rows or beds with multiple rows of vegetables.
