Thanks for joining us here at Lazy Dog Farm!
We are a busy family of four that includes Travis, Brooklyn, and two wild boys -- Abram and Titus. We started Lazy Dog Farm in 2014 with just two small garden plots and it has grown quite a bit since then. We now have 10 garden plots on our 2 acre homestead with each plot being approximately 1,000 square feet.
In 2016 we realized that we like to grow way more than we could ever eat, so we started a market farming business and sold our fruits and vegetables locally. We stopped selling our produce in 2020 as we decided it was time to be a little less busy. In 2021, we started our YouTube channel to diary our gardening journey and share all our fun experimentation with gardening techniques and growing different varieties.
Although the summers are tough here in zone 8b, our mild winters allow us to grow food year round. During the warmer months, we enjoy growing squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, potatoes, flowers, watermelons, okree, beans, field peas, and more! During the cooler months, we have the gardens full of collards, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, rutabagas, kale, and cabbage to name a few.
We hope you enjoy our videos and the blog content on our site.
Happy Gardening from Lazy Dog Farm!
